# Vision and Mission Everyone desires to feel valued; it is one of our fundamental human needs. When we use praise and gratitude to acknowledge and appreciate the effort and positive impact of others, we increase feelings of social worth and awareness of value to the organization, which leads to increased prosocial behavior. As a result, individuals are more likely to engage in and contribute to communal activities, resulting in stronger and more vibrant communities. Praise has been an essential part of the Giveth community, it serves as a catalyst for cultivating a culture of support, encouragement, and mutual recognition. Our belief in the inherent value of praising one another’s contributions transcends any external rewards that may be associated with it. At Giveth, we embrace this fundamental principle, as it aligns perfectly with our mission to build a better future by nurturing a community founded on care, vision, and the profound act of expressing support and gratitude towards our fellow members. # Goals To implement, maintain and continuously improve the Praise system and build a culture of rewarding actions from anyone that adds value to the Giveth ecosystem. # Benefit for Giveth The Rewards Team is the group of people that are responsible for configuring and managing [Praise](https://givepraise.xyz/). They will mint or have custody of [reward tokens in Aragon DAO](https://xdai.aragon.blossom.software/#/rewardsdao/0xe7c3b9b0044d25f2f37be66524dabff5410bd401/), [distribute reward tokens (GIV)](https://forum.giveth.io/t/rewards-calculation-for-contributors-and-non-contributors/1020), inform the community about Praise and [distributions](https://forum.giveth.io/t/giveth-rewards-distribution-round-1/1028), etc. The Reward Team is made up of the Praise Lead, Praise Minter, Cultural Analyst, Giveth Rewards DAO token (GRD) holders and Quantifiers. Benefits brought by Praise: - Community intelligence - Reputation building for members of Giveth - Distributed rewards to members for adding value to Giveth - Fosters a culture of giving and gratitude within Giveth - Boost productivity within Giveth through motivation and recognition - Promotes inclusivity within Giveth # Team & Resources **Franco** **- Lead / Steward Main Praise POC for the community.** **- Praise Minter** Responsibilities: - Recruit new quantifiers when needed to maintain numbers in quantifying pool - Assign quantifiers for each period - Ensure quantifications are completed on time: chase and remind quantifiers when running late - Open and close quantification periods - Host quantification reviews - Answer questions from the community about Praise - Mint or acquire tokens for distribution - Distribute tokens - Produce analysis reports **Danibelle - Cultural Analyst** - Responsible for checking that the outcome of Praise is aligned with the community’s stated objectives. - Evaluate and review the trends in the analysis reports - Gather community’s sentiment about how Praise is working **Nikola - Lead support / Quantifier managing support** **Brichis - Cultural analyst support** **Mitch - Senior Advisor** # Duration Ongoing for as long as Praise and Rewards is required by the Giveth Community. # Deliverables and Budgeting For budgeting we are only proposing two options, sustain and grow, since at the moment this WG is small and new and we don’t consider there’s anything to shrink without compromising the functionality of the WG. ### ⏫ Grow - Oversee Praise operations - Address any problems or issues that arise with Praise - Recruit quantifiers and maintain list/team of quantifiers - Assign quantifiers for each period - Open and close quantification periods - Answer questions from the community about Praise - Mint or acquire tokens for distribution - Distribute rewards - Produce analysis reports - Host quantification reviews - Gather community’s sentiment about how Praise is working and create forum feedback - Analyze praise data at a deeper level to identify patterns and trends - Produce additional reports on Praise beyond what is provided in the dashboard | 💲 Breakdown | | | | --- | --- | --- | | Monthly Contributor Costs | | $2,500 | | _10% Budget Buffer_ | | _$750_ | | **Total for next 3 months** | | **$8,250** | ### ▶ Sustain #### What we will do ✅ - Oversee Praise operations - Address any problems or issues that arise with Praise - Recruit quantifiers and maintain list/team of quantifiers - Assign quantifiers for each period - Open and close quantification periods - Answer questions from the community about Praise - Mint or acquire tokens for distribution - Distribute rewards - Produce analysis reports #### What we won’t do ❌ - Host quantification reviews - Gather community’s sentiment about how Praise is working and create forum feedback - Analyze praise data at a deeper level to identify patterns and trends - Produce additional reports on Praise beyond what is provided in the dashboard | 💲 Breakdown | | | | --- | --- | --- | | Monthly Contributor Costs | | $1,700 | | _10% Budget Buffer_ | | $500 | | **Total for next 3 months** | | **$5,600** | \*_ **Budget Buffers are included for any unexpected costs from operations, only if a portion or all of it is spent will another, proportionate, budget buffer be requested in the subsequent budget.** _ ## Approval Process This WGP will remain available and open for Advice Process for 7 days, after which it will move to a Snapshot vote to decide the approved budget and scope. ---

Hey Franco! I would be curious to see as part of this proposal how much GIV is being spent, I know we allocated it already but it would be nice to see. I like what @WhyldWanderer did in including the GIV costs for running the Ambassador program for example in the [Communitas Working Group Proposal](https://forum.giveth.io/t/communitas-working-group-proposal/1107). I’m really overjoyed to see this WGP up after long last, great work! ---

Hey Mitch, sorry for the delay, it was a bit hectic for two weeks but I got those numbers now. Considering that the [total amount available for rewards distribution is 35 million GIV](https://forum.giveth.io/t/rewards-distribution-for-praise/1002) we have only spent around 3% out of this total for distributing rewards a little bit over 1 year. For this next season the max amount projected to be used will still be 116k GIV per month. ---
