Everyone desires to feel valued; it is one of our fundamental human needs. When we use praise and gratitude to acknowledge and appreciate the effort and positive impact of others, we increase feelings of social worth and awareness of value to the organization, which leads to increased prosocial behavior. As a result, individuals are more likely to engage in and contribute to communal activities, resulting in stronger and more vibrant communities.
Praise has been an essential part of the Giveth community, it serves as a catalyst for cultivating a culture of support, encouragement, and mutual recognition. Our belief in the inherent value of praising one another’s contributions transcends any external rewards that may be associated with it. At Giveth, we embrace this fundamental principle, as it aligns perfectly with our mission to build a better future by nurturing a community founded on care, vision, and the profound act of expressing support and gratitude towards our fellow members.
Goals
To implement, maintain and continuously improve the Praise system and build a culture of rewarding actions from anyone that adds value to the Giveth ecosystem.
Benefit for Giveth
The Rewards Team is the group of people that are responsible for configuring and managing Praise. They will mint or have custody of reward tokens in Aragon DAO, distribute reward tokens (GIV), inform the community about Praise and distributions, etc. The Reward Team is made up of the Praise Lead, Praise Minter, Cultural Analyst, Giveth Rewards DAO token (GRD) holders and Quantifiers.

- Lead / Steward Main Praise POC for the community.

Responsibilities:
- Recruit new quantifiers when needed to maintain numbers in quantifying pool
- Assign quantifiers for each period
- Ensure quantifications are completed on time: chase and remind quantifiers when running late
- Open and close quantification periods
- Host quantification reviews
- Answer questions from the community about Praise
- Mint or acquire tokens for distribution
- Distribute tokens
- Produce analysis reports
Danibelle - Cultural Analyst
- Responsible for checking that the outcome of Praise is aligned with the community’s stated objectives.
- Evaluate and review the trends in the analysis reports
- Gather community’s sentiment about how Praise is working
Nikola - Lead support / Quantifier managing support
Brichis - Cultural analyst support
Mitch - Senior Advisor
Duration
Ongoing for as long as Praise and Rewards is required by the Giveth Community.
Deliverables and Budgeting
For budgeting we are only proposing two options, sustain and grow, since at the moment this WG is small and new and we don’t consider there’s anything to shrink without compromising the functionality of the WG.
