Destabilization processes to boost democratization

I had an idea around quadratic funding -

In order to spread the community, find new members and spread the tool:

  • organize opened events in which votes are distributed on different logics. Now only people of the environment can actually vote to express their preferences allocating resources they also gain from the same environment - it’s a circular logic but it risks to stay “closed” - so the more people you know in the environment having chances to allocate resources through the platform the more your project will have votes

BUT BUT BUT

If opened sessions are organized to ask to “the wider community” to allocate VOTES on pitched projects during the presentation events — ???

This will allow:

  1. spreading the mechanisms and incentivizing more people taking part into the platfrom
  2. Wider participation around projects listed into the platform
  3. Boost redistribution offering to projects not having so much donations to boost them including votes from “external auditors”

This would create a mutual supporting dynamic: the projects will spread the platform while the platfrom will support users with fewer connections within the environment.

Just an idea - don’t have access to data about how many of the creators also donate which are the recurrent donation adrresses and so on ---- you know if it’s really needed or not

Anyway I want to signal organizations like “granter” and wider rgs working in the “not for profit sector” like “tech soup” you could partner with to spread the platform - other models could be implemented also to create not redeamable givebacks possibly used by orgs volunteers to tap into services, educational materials, transport costs cover or vouching for food or other products-services.

It could also be a way to boost regenerative economies linking give backs to vouchers to access products or services offered by the projects themselves.

Only just ideas , not having any clue if feasible and to which extent

@yegor would be best to jam on this more about feasible etc.
