Snapshot Instance for managing Multisigs and other general governance questions

As a multichain DAO with GIV tokens in all sorts of farms we would benefit greatly from a snapshot instance that gives all GIV token holders a voice in our DAO.

Pedro, who helped make the snapshot strategy in the TEC (making the first Quadratic Ranked Choice Voting… ever :exploding_head:) is working on building out Giveth’s snapshot as well!

Our initial spec is simple:

1 GIV = 1 Vote

To achieve this we want to include all our farms on mainnet and xDai, and the GIVgarden.

More specifically:

Ethereum Mainnet:

  • 1 vote for every GIV that is staking in the 100% GIV staking pool
  • 1 vote for every GIV in the 80GIV/20ETH Balancer LP
  • 1 vote for every GIV in the GIV/ETH Uniswap v3
  • 1 vote for every GIV that is held in an account

Gnosis Chain (formerly xDai):

  • 1 vote for every GIV that is wrapped in the GIVgarden
  • 1 vote for every GIV in the GIV/HNY Honeyswap LP
  • 1 vote for every GIV in the GIV/ETH Sushiswap LP
  • 1 vote for every GIV that is held in an account

This excludes GIV in pools that we are not in the GIVfarm unfortunately :-/ but if a pool is popular and we want to add it to the strategy, we can add as we go.

Also we should reconsider this 1 GIV = 1 Vote strategy completely in late May when the farming ends and we have “GIVcuration” out :crossed_fingers:

what other voting strategies will be available in our snapshot?

We can add whatever we want as need’s arise… maybe we do some other farm, maybe GIV moves to some other chain or L2 to the might we want to give them a voice.
