GM Stellar builders, educators, and community leaders!
The Stellar Community Launch Quadratic Funding Round has officially wrapped up - and the results are in! ![]()
This round was designed to spotlight emerging leaders bringing Stellar to new audiences through local events, workshops, hackathons, and educational initiatives. With a 50,000 USDGLO matching pool funded by the Stellar Development Foundation, this round set out to empower projects creating meaningful Stellar-aligned experiences around the world.
Beyond funding events, this round doubled as a scouting program: SDF is looking for the next generation of Ambassador Chapter Leaders, and many of the participants in this round are now on their radar.

Stellar Community Launch QF Round - Final Matching Results
Minimum Matching Requirement
The Stellar Development Foundation has decided to set a minimum matching amount of $1,000, meaning that projects who did not meet this threshold will not receive matching this round. This safeguard was put to ensure that every funded project has the resources necessary to organize a high-quality event and projects below this amount would not be realistically able to deliver on their plans.
Direct donations to all projects, including those who did not meet the threshold, remain theirs to keep, and every project’s participation still signaled valuable community interest and strengthened the ecosystem.
Project Eligibility
In order to participate in the round, projects needed to:
- Be listed on Giveth
- Meet eligibility criteria and pass the KYC requirements by SDF team
- Propose an event aligned with Stellar ecosystem and community growth (workshops, hackathons, local meetups, education in local languages, etc.)
- Be curated by the SDF team, with a focus on regions without existing Stellar Ambassador chapters
- This round specifically encouraged leaders in regions where Stellar has no chapters yet - helping SDF identify future Ambassadors who can expand the network globally
Important: Events funded by this round must take place before October 31, 2025.

To ensure fairness and genuine community signal, this round again used Connection-Oriented Cluster Match (COCM) algorithm to calculate final matching. COCM rewards donor diversity and penalizes tightly clustered or coordinated donation patterns.
The “match per unique donor” metric highlights how COCM rewards broad participation. This means that projects that have a higher “match per unique donor” had a broader donor base.
