Q1 2022 Contributor Vesting Distribution

Following the outcome of the contributor vesting spec and the subsequent ratification vote
we’re ready to calculate and distribute our overdue vesting distribution for Q1 2022. Here’s a quick refresher on our parameters:

Initial Vesting Distribution (Q1 2022):

  • Praise - 10%
  • SoureCred 0%
  • nrGIV Sequester - 50%*
  • nrGIV and Hours worked - 40%*
  • Max variance (current contributor vs. future contributor schedule) - 20%
  • nrGIV Factor - 0.8
  • Hours worked factor - 1
  • Retroactive Praise - from implementation (March 2021)
  • Hours worked Tiers:
Hours Tier
GIVaholic = 40+ 5
Full Time = 30-40 4
Part time = 18-30 3
Part part time = 7-18 2
Casual = 1-7 hours 1

Distribution Calculation

We’re set to distribute 2,546,507.59 GIV, here’s a list of recipients and amounts:

Calculation Method

I used the vesting simulator spreadsheet that @cotabe and myself collaborated on. Please check this section that your hours worked tier (based on role proposals or absence of) and nrGIV distributions are correct.

Current vs. Future Contributor

On the sheet labelled Current or Future we can see the proposed future contributor distribution against what the “current contributors” would normally have received, any difference % greater than 20% is assigned the future contributor amount according to the Max Variance parameter.

Take some time to review that the information is correct. After minimum advice process has been met I will proceed to create the vote to transfer the funds from the nrGIV to the aforementioned contributors.
